Swamp Fest
Swamp Fest March 6th and 7th
A Reminder to SHARC Members
We are in need of help with providing communications at the
upcoming Swamp Fest on March 6th and 7th. Details
about the event and our communications service was printed in
the February issue of SHARC Bytes.
Please take this opportunity to help support our organization
in providing a much-needed service during the two-day
event. We will be operating from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
on Saturday and from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday.
Also, we will need help setting up the club booth and
antennas on Friday at 9:00 AM and taking down our equipment
on Sunday at 4:00 PM. Those who help out with
communications will be given a parking pass and a free entry
pass to the Swamp Fest.
Attending the Swamp Fest is an opportunity for you to shop at
over 140 arts and crafts vendors, listen to folk, country,
and instrumental music, taste "swamp food" such as fried
grouper, crab cakes, alligator, swamp cabbage, blooming
onion, jambalaya, greens and black-eye peas, beans and rice,
among many other tasty treats.
We need to know who is going to help out as soon as possible so
we can obtain and distribute passes. If you have
questions or want to sign up to participate with radio
communications service at the Swamp Fest, call or email Mike
Stone, N1VE . His info is in the club roster.
Don't forget to wear your SHARC shirt if you have one, and
bring your HT's and fully charged batteries. We
will have a great time.
Thanks
Mike Stone
